An autopsy has revealed that former World Wrestling Federation [WWF] Champion, Ultimate Warrior died of a heart attack.
The Ultimate Warrior, real name James Hellwig, collapsed outside an Arizona Hotel on April 8. He was 54.
According to celebrity website TMZ, the Medical examiner who performed the autopsy of the Wrestler`s body revealed that the cause of death was found to have been; “Atherosclerotic/Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease”.
It was therefore concluded that his death was not directly caused by either drugs or alcohol.
The Ultimate Warrior wrestled in the WWF from 1987 to 1991 and again in 1992 and 1996. He also fought in World Championship Wrestling [WCW] in 1998.
During his time on WWF, The Ultimate Warrior became a two-time WWF Intercontinental Champion. He also won the WWF Championship in dramatic fashion when he pinned legendary wrestling godfather, Hulk Hogan in the main event of WrestleMania VI.
That win made him the only wrestler in the history of WWF to hold both the WWF Championship and the WWF Intercontinental Championship at the same time.
